Ed Sheeran approves of the blossoming romance between Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris. Swift’s longtime platonic pal was asked about the pairing by ZM Online backstage at his show in Auckland, New Zealand. Watch the video of his response below!
One of the co-hosts sneakily backed into the question, referring to Sheeran’s “calming demeanor” before asking whether that “nice guy” persona disappears if one of his friends winds up with someone he doesn’t like. She specifically refers to Harris, who appears to be the new man in Swift’s life.
“No, he’s cool. He’s a really nice guy. Really, really nice guy,” said Sheeran. So he gives the coupling his seal of approval? “Yeah, I’d give the seal of approval… There are just certain people who are just nice people in the industry. I met [Harris] like a year ago… Really good guy.”
While it’s not exactly a direct confirmation of the rumored Swift-Harris romance, Sheeran’s response is yet another indication that things between the “Shake It Off” singer and the star DJ have recently heated up.
