Ryan Reynolds was hit by a car in Vancouver, but is okay, Gossip Cop confirms. On Friday, Reynolds was struck by a driver in the garage of the Shangri-La Hotel. The unidentified driver was a paparazzo who had just taken a photo of the actor before fleeing the scene. Fortunately, Reynolds was not hurt, his rep tells Gossip Cop.

Reynolds spokesperson reveals to Gossip Cop, “While walking, Ryan was struck by a paparazzi driving a car through an underground parking garage. The man fled the scene.” The rep adds, “Ryan is okay.”

Brian Montague of the Vancouver police says Reynolds was a victim of a “hit and run,” and that it is being investigated. He similarly notes, “There were no injuries.” It’s unclear, at this point, whether the photographer is being sought for arrest or simply for questioning. A rep for the Shangri-La Hotel says the hotel is also cooperating with the police in its investigation.

Reynolds, who hails from Vancouver, is back home shooting the movie Deadpool. We will update as more information emerges. Gossip Cop recently corrected a false report about Reynolds that claimed he was going to do a remake of Three Men And A Baby, with Ashton Kutcher and Ryan Gosling.
