Mumford & Sons performed “Believe” as their second song on this week’s “SNL.” Earlier in the show, the band sang “The Wolf.”  See the video below of Mumford & Sons’ performance of “Believe” on “Saturday Night Live.”

As Gossip Cop previously noted, this the second time Mumford & Sons has been the musical guests on “SNL.” In addition to knocking it out of the park when they last appeared in 2012, performing their hits “I Will Wait” and “Below My Feet,” Mumford & Sons also appeared in a sketch in which they played a Beatles cover band called Hey Dude, complete with the Fab Four’s haircuts from the ’60s and ’70s.

“Believe” is the first single off Mumford & Sons’ upcoming album “Wilder Mind.” With “Believe,” the British band has debuted a different sound. Gone are the acoustic banjos and songs that have slower build-ups. The new sound is fast-paced right from the start, and is all electric. “Believe,” which was released in March, reached number 1 on Billboard’s “Rock Airplay” chart number 4 on its “Hot Rock Songs” chart, and number 31 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.
