Zayn Malik is not presenting at the MTV Movie Awards tomorrow, despite an entirely inaccurate report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the story, which was posted by a questionable blogger. A source close to Malik tells us it “isn’t true” that the former One Direction singer will be a presenter.
Perez Hilton started the false rumor late on Saturday by exclaiming that he had “MAJOR news.” The bad blogger then stated that fans should “tune in” to the MTV Movie Awards because Malik was slated to be “one of the presenters.”
Hilton even claimed that a “source close to production” told him Malik would be on hand for the awards show, but it’s a total lie. Maybe it’s the same bogus source who told Perez that Fidel Castro had died years ago. Regardless, the blogger, who blocks Gossip Cop on Twitter because we’re constantly correcting him, ended his totally inaccurate story by asking his readers, “Are U excited to see him present???”
The MTV Movie Awards are taking place on Sunday at the Nokia Theatre in L.A., and are being hosted by Amy Schumer. But Zayn Malik will not be a presenter, Gossip Cop has exclusively confirmed.
