Tying 'CSI: Cyber,' the Fox competition is second only to 'Nashville' as the night's lowest-rated show on broadcast.

A Wednesday outing of The Voice did not help Fox's middling American Idol.

The two-hour episode, falling 22 percent from last week, averaged just a 1.4 rating among adults 18-49. It also pulled 6.5 million viewers. Only ABC's Nashville scored a smaller rating in the key demo over the course of the night.

One show The Voice didn't hurt was Survivor. The CBS series, steady with last week, averaged a 2.3 rating among adults 18-49. Steady outings of Criminal Minds (2.0 adults) and CSI: Cyber (1.4 adults) followed.

As for The Voice, it pulled a 2.1 rating in the key demo — lifting Law & Order SVU (1.8 adults), which was up three-tenths of a point. Chicago P.D. (1.5 adults) was steady.

Over on ABC, The Middle (1.8 adults) and The Goldbergs (1.9 adults) held steady, while Black-ish (1.9 adults) fell half of a point from last week without a new Modern Family lead-in. Nashville (1.1 adults) dropped by two-tenths of a point.TV Ratings
