Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney are NOT at “war” over a $220 million prenuptial agreement, despite a Life & Style story claiming the newly engaged couple is  battling over money before walking down the aisle. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust the story.

According to the outlet, negotiations between the pop star and the actor have “hit a snag.” A so-called “pal” tells the tabloid, “It’s caused a lot of tension in the relationship. Frankly, Taylor’s hurt that he’d even be asked to sign a prenup. It doesn’t mean anything to him that Gaga has more in the bank than he does.”

Life & Style claims Gaga is “forging ahead” with the fight despite her fiancé’s “wounded pride.” The magazine’s source explains, “Lady Gaga says that the only reason she would even ask Taylor to sign a prenup is because her attorneys are insisting. But Taylor’s a very down-to-earth guy and this has rubbed him the wrong way.”

Actually, here’s what seems to have happened. Gaga and Kinney got engaged in February. There’s been no controversy or scandal since then. Life & Style decided to create one, and allegations of “prenup battles” are always pretty easy to fabricate, especially when an outlet can toss out giant, unsubstantiated numbers like “$220 million.” A rep tells Gossip Cop exclusively the story is “untrue.”
