Noah Cyrus is the star of a visually stunning new PETA2 campaign against school dissections of animals. See the eye-popping photo and video below.

Miley Cyrus’ little sister has partnered with the organization to use the “#DissectionKills” hashtag to raise awareness about the “more than 10 million animals” that are dissected each year in high schools and colleges. As an alternative, they are advocating for virtual dissections, citing studies that have “repeatedly shown” them to be “more effective in teaching biology than cutting up dead animals.” Cyrus says, “Because I love all animals so much, people, I feel like, should realize they don’t have to cut into something to learn about it.”

To illustrate their point, Cyrus participated in a complicated photo shoot with celebrity photographer Robert Sebree. The teen laid down on a would-be examination table and had makeup artists not only give her the appearance of a dead person, but also create a mock representation of what it would like if SHE were cut open. The finished ad reads, “I am not a classroom experiment. Neither are cats, frogs, rats, pigs, or other animals killed for dissections. Please choose not to dissect.”

Cyrus shares, “It kind of was weird being on the table, and the feeling of being about to be cut open. The thought of that happening to an animal would be terrible.” The 15-year-old has previously worked with PETA2 on other efforts, as has her brother Trace. See the ad and behind-the-scenes video below, and tell us what you think.
