Taran Killam again played harsh 1860s newspaper critic Jebidiah Atkinson on “SNL,” and this time slammed TV shows present and past. He started off by saying that “all of TV is excrement,” and it got meaner from there about “Mad Men,” “Game of Thrones,” “House Of Cards,” and past shows like “West Wing,” Seinfeld,” “I Love Lucy” and much more. Check out the video below!

Of “Mad Men,” Atkinson said, “The most likable character on this TV show is cigarettes,” adding, “Hey AMC, if I wanted to know what life was like in the 1860s, I would move to Indiana.” About “Game of Thrones,” the critic snapped, “Oh great, soft-core porn with a hundred hours of backstory. At least in porn, you know how it’s going to finish. And George R. R. Martin, you better hurry and write those books, because by the looks of it, winter is coming.” Atkinson was none too fond either of “House of Cards.” He cracked, “The only thing lazier than the writing is Kevin Spacey’s attempt at a Southern accent.”

Atkinson is no fan either of older TV shows. He cracked about “The West Wing” that the “best lines on that show is the ones that went up Aaron Sorkin’s nose.” He then sang the theme sing from “Cheers,” before noting, “Where everybody knows your name… from the AA meetings.” And “Seinfeld”? Atkinson said, “I’d rather watch Michael Richards do standup at the Apollo. That’s right I haven’t forgiven him. Hey Kramer, I can say an N-word too …Next!”

He even took on “Saturday Night Live,” saying it only had “tired characters repeating the same tired catchphrases… Next!” Nor did Atkinson like “The Honeymooners” or “I Love Lucy,” which he called, “The worst television show of all time.” Among his comments were that it should have been called, “I Love Lucy’s Ability To Get Me a Green Card.”
