Ellen DeGeneres is “exposed” for her “screaming matches, crazy demands and an incredible temper” in a bogus In Touch report that continues the magazine’s rich tradition of spreading false rumors about the talk show host. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust the story.

In the last few months alone, In Touch has wrongly alleged that DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were in a “crisis,” and incorrectly reported de Rossi was “heartbroken” over the couple’s decision not to have children. Now the magazine takes it even further, claiming “the real Ellen” is the opposite of the nice, happy person who appears on camera. According to the tabloid, DeGeneres is an “absolute nightmare at work — and at home.”

“Ellen has an ugly, dark side and a temper like you wouldn’t believe,” says a so-called “insider” for In Touch. “It’s almost like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The second the audience leaves, Ellen transforms.” The outlet’s source claims, “The horror stories of being on her staff are legendary.” In Touch says DeGeneres treats her staff terribly, won’t let them make eye contact with her, and throws tantrums backstage.

At home, according to a source for In Touch, DeGeneres “gets into violent fights with Portia and rages and throws things. Ellen tells her who she can be friends with and even makes her turn down roles she is offered. No one understands why Portia stays with Ellen — she drives her insane!”

In Touch really, really needs some better sources. Because this game of throwing stuff against the wall to see what sticks just isn’t working with DeGeneres. A production insider tells Gossip Cop exclusively, “The staff and Ellen have fun all day every day with each other.” As for the alleged fights with de Rossi, we’re told the rumor is “absurd.”
