The 2015 Daytime Emmy Awards nominations were announced on Tuesday. “General Hospital” led the way for soap operas, earning 28 nods, while “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” garnered 10 nominations as the top talk show. See the full list of nominees below!
The awards are scheduled to air from a Warner Bros. soundstage lot in Los Angeles on Pop on Sunday, April 26. Last year’s ceremony was off television entirely and streamed as a webcast. Organizers are hoping to give the show a bigger platform this time.
“The Price Is Right” will battle “Family Feud” and “Jeopardy!” for Outstanding Game Show. “General Hospital” will take on “Days of Our Lives,” “The Bold & The Beautiful” and “The Young & The Restless” for Outstanding Drama Series.
Outstanding Talk Show (Entertainment) will go to “The Talk,” “The Wendy Williams Show,” “Live! with Kelly and Michael” or “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” And the prize for Outstanding Talk Show (Informative) will be a race among “The Chew,” “The Kitchen,” “The Steve Harvey Show” and “The Chew.”
