LeAnn Rimes did not set up cameras in her home to keep a constant eye on Eddie Cibrian while she was away on business, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this story, which first appeared in one of the celebrity weeklies. Sources close to Cibrian and Rimes tell Gossip Cop it’s entirely untrue.

According to Star, before Rimes recently went to London for a 10-day business trip, she got busy “mistress-proofing” their L.A.-area home. The tabloid alleges the singer is so terrified that Cibrian will cheat on her that she “installed cameras that, in addition to monitoring their home security, send her laptop and cell phone alerts if their garage door is open.” The magazine then quotes a completely so-called “source” as saying, “LeAnn can see what cars come in and out, as well as what cars drive past on the street out front. And if she wants to check if Eddie’s car is in the driveway, she can.”

This, of course, is all from the same tabloid that Gossip Cop has repeatedly corrected for a slew of made-up stories, including a cover story two months ago that claimed Rimes was pregnant. She is not. Nor is Rimes “broke,” as Star inaccurately reported another time.

Regardless, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the couple, and we’re told that the Star story is “completely ludicrous.” A second insider also called the tabloid’s report “garbage.”
