Gwen Stefani called the cops on Tuesday when an obsessed fan threatened to show up at the Los Angeles acupuncture clinic she was at, Gossip Cop confirms with the LAPD. The singer, who had her one-year-old son Apollo with her, was spooked by the fan’s messages and immediately alerted authorities.
The fan reportedly told Stefani in a series of messages that he was going to be waiting outside the Jesun Acupuncture clinic and wave to her from a nearby spot. It’s not clear how the person knew Stefani would be at the acupuncture center, but she didn’t take the messages lightly. Gossip Cop is told the police are still investigating the unsettling messages.
Unfortunately, Stefani is far from the only celebrity to have to recently deal with a crazed fan. As Gossip Cop reported, Miranda Cosgrove’s alleged stalker Joshua Stockton was arrested in February for a second time after he followed the actress to Disneyland, and an obsessed fan left a red car outside of Paris Hilton’s house last month and then smashed the windows of the vehicle when she refused to accept the pricey gift.
