"Empire" has been killing it in the famous guest star zone, with appearances by Mary J. Blige, JHud, Courtney Love, Estelle, etc.
Series star Jussie Smollett – who plays Jamal Lyon on the hit Fox show – has some ideas about which celebrities should grace the Lyon's world next.
"I really want Mariah Carey," Jussie told Access Hollywood at the "Insurgent" premiere in New York City on Monday night. "I just met her the other day – I introduced her at the HRC gala. I would love Mariah Carey or Janet Jackson or Brandy, you know what I'm saying?"
Adding, "I would love – like a really, really – one of those classic divas. They would kill it!"
The actor – who said he's been overwhelmed by the incredible fan support he's received – hinted at big things to come for "Empire's" second season.

"I do talk to Lee Daniels and Danny Strong and Ilene Chaiken a lot, so I do know some things but I don't know everything," he told Access, when asked about Season 2 plot points. "Plus they're going to get into that writers room with our incredible writers and just come up with the crazy, crazy stuff they come up with!"
The cast will soon assemble to start filming.
"We actually go back in summer – I want to say June or July," Jussie said. "And Season 2 baby – it's on. It's on."
The two-hour Season 1 "Empire" finale airs Wednesday at 8/7c on Fox.
