Who Was Eliminated On American Idol?

American Idol Results March 12 2015

(Fox)

“American Idol” eliminated one contestant on Thursday, during the first live episode of season 14. Find out the results here!

As Gossip Cop reported, the Top 12 all performed on Wednesday’s episode for America’s votes. With a new format that features new performances and an elimination based on the previous night’s performance votes in a single show, Ryan Seacrest explained he would call up safe contestants one by one to take the stage. The one name that wasn’t called by the end of the show was the contestant who received the lowest amount of votes and was therefore in jeopardy of elimination.

Sarina-Joi Crowe ended up being that contestant. After getting the band news, she had the chance to perform for the judges’ lone save of the season, and sang “Neon Lights,” the track she would’ve performed earlier in the broadcast had she made the Top 11. Unfortunately, even with the crowd and fellow contestants chanting “SAVE! SAVE!” afterward, Jennifer Lopez said the panel would not be keeping Crowe in the competition.

With that elimination, “American Idol” is now down to the Top 11. The remaining contestants are: Rayvon Owen, Maddie Walker, Joey Cook, Clark Beckham, Jax, Qaasim Middleton, Adanna Duru, Tyanna Jones, Daniel Seavey, Quentin Alexander, and Nick Fradiani. Votes from all their performances tonight will determine who is sent home on next Thursday’s show. What do you think of tonight’s results? How do you feel about the new format for the live episodes?
