‘Gold Rush’ Season Finale: Todd Hoffman Unveils Secret Weapon (Exclusive Video)

Gold Rush fans will find out the answer in Friday night's two-hour season five finale.

In the meantime, The Hollywood Reporter debuts an exclusive clip from the episode, which airs at 9 p.m. Friday on Discovery Channel, featuring Todd Hoffman as he brings in what he calls "the biggest dozer in the Klondike."

The episode finds Schnabel facing mutiny when he announces one last push for 400 ounces. Meanwhile, Todd Hoffman's crew sets their new giant dozer to work securing land for next season, and Tony Beets has one last shot at getting his 75-year-old dredge mining for gold.

The finale will air after preshow The Dirt (8 p.m.), on which Schnabel's grandfather, John Schnabel, makes his debut. Also for the first time, executive producer/host Christo Doyle gathers all three mine bosses — Schnabel, Beets and Hoffman — to discuss their mad scramble to reach their season's goal.

Following the finale, the trio come together on the aftershow to share their reactions.
