MAG: Rihanna on “Deadly Party Binge”

Truth rating: 1

Rihanna is going off the rails and heading for disaster, according to Star magazine’s new cover story on her alleged “Deadly Party Binge.”

The tabloid cites “sources” as saying that “wild party marathons have taken over her life,” and “she’s on the path to destruction.”

“Rihanna loves to party, but this past month she’s gotten really out of control,” a so-called “insider” informs Star. “She’s been drinking almost every day and talking about smoking weed a lot too.”

The magazine claims Rihanna’s friends are “urging her to enter rehab” and even compares her to the late Whitney Houston, declaring, “The similarities are hard to ignore.”

(Among the “similarities” Star lists: Both women “found success as teens.” Seriously.)

Star goes on and on about Rihanna’s party-heavy lifestyle, quoting an “insider” as saying, ”Rihanna loves being a bad girl and shocking people.”

Um, anyone who follows Rihanna on Twitter (or in interviews) knows she has a penchant for partying.

This is no big secret.

But the tabloid takes it too far, making it seem as though the singer is on the brink of total disaster, asking if she’s “The Next Whitney Houston?” and quoting a so-called “source” who says, “Everyone is telling her to slow down and think about therapy, or even rehab.”

Let’s end this right here.

There’s absolutely no reason to believe Rihanna’s behavior is “deadly.”

She’s criss-crossing the globe to promote Battleship, musical guesting on “Saturday Night Live,” giving scores of completely lucid interviews, and staying in the public eye.

Nothing about her schedule, responsibilities or interactions resembles the final weeks of Houston, Amy Winehouse or other tragic figures.

Multiple sources close to Rihanna tell Gossip Cop the Star cover story is wildly exaggerated and “false.”
