Starz's new faux cable news show, Blunt Talk, has cast its first season.

The recurring cast includes Ed Begley Jr. (Arrested Development),  Mary Holland (Parks and Recreation), Karan Soni (Safety Not Guaranteed) and Romany Malco (Top Five). They join the previously announced cast, led by Patrick Steward (X-Men), Jacki Weaver (Silver Linings Playbook) and Adrian Scarborough (The King's Speech), in the series that follows British import Walter Blunt (Stewart) as he intends to conquer the world of American cable news.

Begley will play the husband to Weaver’s character Rosalie, Blunt's tough and motherly producer-manager. Holland, Soni and Malco are staffers in the newsroom of Blunt's cable show. Guest appearances can be expected by musician and actor Moby, Sharon Lawrence (Rizzoli & Isles), Trace Lysette (Transparent), Golden Brooks (Girlfriends), Windell D. Middlebrooks (Scrubs) and Steve Valentine (Anger Management).

Through his nightly cable news show, Blunt is on a mission to impart his wisdom and guidance on how Americans should live, think and behave. Besieged by network bosses, a dysfunctional news staff, numerous ex-wives and children of all ages, Blunt’s only support is the alcoholic manservant he transplanted from the U.K. to join him in Los Angeles (Scarborough).

The half-hour scripted comedy series, which was greenlit for a two-season, 20 episode commitment, hails from MRC (the same studio behind Ted and House of Cards) and is executive produced by Seth MacFarlane, Jonathan AmesTristram Shapeero and Stephanie Davis.
