Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds did not pose naked for Allure’s annual “Naked Issue,” despite widespread reports. Lively’s rep tells Gossip Cop exclusively that claims of the two stars being nude in the magazine are 100 percent NOT true.
The rumor began in the pages of Us Weekly, which wrote, “In a February 4 shoot for Allure’s annual ‘naked issue,’ the duo disrobed with their 2-month-old daughter.” The tabloid added that following some fashion shots with Lively, “Everyone was kicked out” of the shoot, a curtain went up, and Reynolds and the actress “posed nude holding the baby.” Naturally, the titillating tale was picked up by a slew of sites that similarly didn’t bother to fact-check the report, including MTV, ShowbizSpy and HollywoodLife, which editorialized that “a new baby makes you do crazy things, like post nude in a magazine.” Again, as Gossip Cop has exclusively learned, Lively and Reynolds did NOT pose naked for Allure.
Instead, Lively’s rep exclusively confirms to Gossip Cop that the actress did a fully clothed cover shoot for Allure “for an upcoming issue.” Her rep adds, “I don’t know where this [naked photos story] is coming from, but it’s not true.” Additionally, Reynolds did not pose for any photos for the future Allure cover featuring Lively.
