Pierce Brosnan’s Malibu home burned in a fire on Wednesday night, a blaze that he managed to escape uninjured. See videos below.

According to fire officials, the fire broke out at the actor’s beachside home shortly before 10 p.m. local time, beginning in the garage. There are conflicting reports as to whether it spread to another room in the house, causing smoke damage in a bedroom. Fifty firefighters were required to fight the flames, before the fire was completely put out roughly 50 minutes later.

Brosnan was home at the time, and watched from the street as emergency personnel got the situation under control. The movie star shares the residence with his wife and their two children. They were alerted to the blaze by a smoke detector that went off. An arson investigation into what sparked the fire is underway.

Photos and video of the fire were posted on social media. The footage shows Brosnan standing with officials, and when asked “what’s going on,” he replies, “What do you think’s going on?” Brosnan is described as being “irritated” that news crews showed up as he was trying to deal with what no doubt was a traumatic incident. Again, there was no injuries, thankfully. Watch the videos below.
