Ursula Ward, the mother of alleged Aaron Hernandez murder victim Odin Lloyd, was ordered not to cry while on the witness stand during Hernandez’s trial in Fall River, Massachusetts on Wednesday. Watch the stunning moment in the video below.

Lloyd was found dead near Hernandez’s home in 2013, and the disgraced former New England Patriots star is accused of Lloyd’s murder. Ward was about to give testimony on Wednesday when Judge Susan Garsh gave some additional instructions.

Garsh told Ward, “I understand that this is very emotional for you, but it’s very important that you manage during this time you are testifying, to retain control of your emotions and not to cry while you are looking at any photo that may be shown to you.”

Previously, Ward became emotional while sitting in the courtroom as images of her son’s dead body were shown to the public. During Wednesday’s testimony, she managed not to start crying. A number of observers found Garsh’s instructions to Ward insensitive and unnecessary. Watch the video below, and tell us what you think.

Hernandez faces life in prison if he’s convicted of Lloyd’s murder. He’s also been charged with murdering two other men in 2012 in a separate case. Gossip Cop will have updates.
