George Clooney and his wife Amal are living apart and on the skids, claims Life & Style, an outlet that falsely declared their marriage over back in December and is now scrambling to cover itself with more bogus allegations. Gossip Cop can bust the story, which says the “bickering duo” are happy to be kept separate by their work schedules.

According to Life & Style, the newlyweds are on their own and happy about it. George is filming a movie in Los Angeles while Amal is working out of London, and “the couple actually welcomed the break,” alleges the tabloid. A so-called “insider” tells the magazine, “They’re really happy right now being on their own.”

That’s because, in the alternate reality Life & Style inhabits, the Clooneys “sure weren’t happy together.” The outlet claims they’ve been fighting about whether to start a family, and that George’s close friends are allegedly fed up with Amal’s seriousness and hoping “the distance is the first step on the road to divorce.”

As Gossip Cop has pointed out from the beginning, tabloids couldn’t wait until the Clooneys married to start tearing them down and predicting divorce. There’s nothing in this Life & Style story that hasn’t already been said (wrongly) by other outlets. George and Amal are “incredibly happy,” a source close to the situation tells Gossip Cop.
