Idina Menzel: ‘A Lot Of Meditation’ After ‘Adele Dazeem’ Oscars Gaff – ARTICLE

It turns out getting called the wrong name by John Travolta right before you sing at the Oscars can be a good thing!

Idina Menzel visited Access Hollywood Live – on location in Phoenix for the Super Bowl (where she'll be performing the National Anthem on Sunday). The singer and actress told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover that the meme-worthy mispronunciation moment has done more good than bad.

"It has change my life," she explained. "People that didn't know me, now know me, and the people that knew me, stuck up for me. So, that made me feel really good."

The star did admit that when the gaff happened, just as she was about to perform "Let It Go" from "Frozen" for the Oscars audience, she had to scramble to center herself.

"There was a lot of meditation going on to keep me focused when that happened," the stage veteran revealed.

Idina also spoke to Billy and Kit about her upcoming Super Bowl performance, something she feels both comfortable and nervous about.

"I do eight shows a week on Broadway. I'm a creature of live performance and that's what I live for, that's what I float on, that adrenaline… I get to be in the moment in life, and so that makes me have to appreciate those moments," she said.

As for her performance, Idina said she is going to channel the emotion of the song.

"I'm going to sing it straight from the heart," she explained. "It's really a beautiful song. It's beautiful. I'd like to try and not get too carried away, swept away in all the craziness, and really sing it from a prideful place."
