Vine star Cole LaBrant wants Selena Gomez to go to prom with him, and he’s created a lip synch video asking her to be his date. Watch below!

LaBrant is a senior at Enterprise High School in Alabama, and a member of the trio “Dem White Boyz,” who frequently post six-second viral clips online. The teen now expands to two and a half minutes in his plea to Gomez, which features him lip synching Gomez’s songs, with some of her best friend Taylor Swift’s music thrown in, too.

The video kicks off with LaBrant “singing” Gomez’s “Love You Like A Love Song” as he gets ready for prom, and modifying the lyrics slightly, so that “I want you to know baby/I love you like a love song” becomes, “I want you to know baby/I want to take you to prom.” There’s then a dance interlude in a field, where LaBrant is joined by two guy friends.

LaBrant then dons a warrior costume as he lip synchs “Come and Get It” in a grocery store, and is later rejoined by his pals for another dance, this time to “Slow Down.” There’s additional bits featuring Swift’s “22” and “I Knew You Were Trouble,” an adoring message written in sand, and a montage of Gomez photos.

It all leads to LaBrant playing a snippet of Gomez’s “The Heart Wants What It Wants,” where she sings, “There’s a million reasons why,” before he interjects, “No, no, no. Actually, there’s only one reason why you should go to prom with me.” He then looks into the camera and tells Gomez, “If you were to go to prom with me, it would be something that I would never forget, and I would try to make sure you had a really good time, too.”

The video reportedly took 10 days to film and edit, with LaBrant releasing it months before the actual dance so that Gomez would have plenty of time to respond. But why Gomez? “It’s a crazy life, but she’s kept a level head,” he tells the Huffington Post. “She’s someone I look up to. She’s someone who knows who she is, and I respect that a lot.” Watch LaBrant’s “promposal” below, and tell us what you think!
