Kevin Hart: I Still Admire Bill Cosby – ARTICLE

Kevin Hart is the latest celebrity to share his thoughts on Bill Cosby.

Though the 77-year-old comedian has been accused of sexual assault and drugging by nearly 30 women, Hart still counts Cosby as one of his comedy heroes. Cosby has not been charged, and his attorney has denied claims of abuse.

The star of "The Wedding Ringer" shared his thoughts in an interview for the February issue of The Hollywood Reporter.

"Right now, it's a lot of speculation. All I can do is just say my prayers and my wishes go out to all of the women who are potentially involved," Hart said. "His personal life has nothing to do with me. I can't control it. I will never try. It doesn't stop me from being an admirer of his work. His work and his personal life are two separate things.”

Hart, who is such an admirer of Cosby’s work, revealed he has a large portrait of the embattled comedian hanging in his home. In addition to Cosby, Hart says he also has portraits of Chris Rock, Richard Pryor and Martin Lawrence on display.

When THR asked Hart if he plans on keeping the Cosby portrait, the ‘Real Husbands of Hollywood’ actor said, “I’m not going to take the picture down. The picture serves a purpose for me. These were the men who built a legacy doing what they love to do, which is telling jokes.”

And Cosby continues to tell jokes.

He is in the midst of a 2014-2015 North American and Canadian comedy tour, but the controversy has resulted in several event protests, and even more cancelled shows. On Saturday, Jan. 17, the comedian is set to perform back-to-back shows at the Buell Theater in Denver, Colo.

Protesters have already announced plans to picket outside of the venue.
