Mariah Carey confirms to Ellen DeGeneres on the talk show host’s Thursday show that she’ll be doing a residency at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas (video below). Carey tells DeGeneres, “I’m going to do my first ever residency in Vegas at Caesar’s. This is a special event for me… I have to hope that the fans will enjoy this ’cause I’m gonna be performing, which was kind of inspired by my album ‘#1’s,’ and this is now the updated version with 18 of them.”

The singer and DeGeneres then listed some of the 18 number one hits that Carey will be performing. They mentioned, “We Belong Together,” “Vision of Love,” “Emotions,” “Fantasy,” “Dreamlover,” “One Sweet Day,” “Don’t Forget About Us,” and “Touch My Body.” The other songs that were not noted, but will be part of Carey’s Las Vegas show are “Hero,” “Always Be My Baby,” “Someday,” “I’ll Be There,” “I Don’t Wanna Cry,” “Honey,” “Love Takes Time,” “My All,” “Thank God I Found You,” and “Heartbreaker.”

Prior to the official announcement, Carey decided to surprise some of her fans at Caesar’s Palace by dressing up as a hotel housekeeper. The reactions by the fans when Carey walked into the rooms dressed like a maid are priceless. She then gave all of her fans tickets to her upcoming Vegas show. But that wasn’t all. DeGeneres said it would be “rude” to just give those fans in Vegas tickets, before telling the audience that each of them were also getting tickets to Carey’s show. The audience members’ reactions are also amazing. Check out the video here, and tell us what you think!
