Bill Clinton: Granddaughter Is ‘Greatest Thing Since Sliced Bread’ – ARTICLE

Former President Bill Clinton is not hiding the fact that he's relishing being a first-time grandpa to Chelsea's daughter Charlotte.

"Like every other grandparent, I think my granddaughter's the greatest thing since sliced bread," he boasted on Wednesday night's episode of "Late Night with Seth Meyers." "It's really fun and Hillary and I are able to see her a lot because Chelsea and Marc and Charlotte live in New York, so we're here all the time."

Are the grandparents overstepping their bounds already by spoiling the little girl?

"So far my daughter has not, you know, had to discipline her overly-exuberant grandparents too much," he admitted in this advance clip obtained by People. "You know, these young people, they have, know what the rules are on child rearing, it's very impressive."

Chelsea married Marc Mezvinsky in 2010 and they welcomed Charlotte in September 2014.

When asked if the Clinton family has plans to relocate to Washington, D.C. next year, he had a clever response for Seth.

"I hope not because 2016's the election year and I don't have any place to move," he said, having carefully listened to the wording of the question.

If his wife were to run in and win the presidential election in 2016, Inauguration wouldn't be until January 2017.

"Late Night with Seth Meyers" airs weeknights at 12:35/11:35c on NBC.
