Nine years following the season finale of NBC’s political drama The West Wing, the cast of the show has reunited. On Jan. 13, series writer Eli Attie shared two photos on Twitter of President Bartlet and his White House staff back together again.

In the photos, series stars Joshua Malina, Dule Hill, Richard Schiff, Bradley Whitford, Mary McCormack, Allison Janney and Martin Sheen can be seen linking arms in all smiles. Presumably, the pictures were taken on the set of an upcoming Funny or Die comedy sketch, as referenced by Attie’s caption.

The West Wing cast previously reunited on two occasions back in 2012 – for a political campaign ad filmed to raise voting awareness (which also doubled as an endorsement for Michigan judicial candidate Bridget Mary McCormack, sister of the show's own Mary McCormack), and a “Walk and Talk” Funny or Die sketch to promote physical fitness.

The award-winning series ran for seven seasons and garnered a total of 26 Emmy awards before it came to an end in 2006. In THR’s uncensored oral history published in May 2014, co-executive producer Kevin Falls shared that aides for President Bush, President Clinton and President Obama had all shown early support for the 1999 drama.

Since the show's end, Malina has appeared in ABC's Scandal, Hill has led USA's Psych, Schiff has starred in TNT's Murder in the First, Whitford has appeared in episodes of Amazon's Transparent, McCormack has led USA's In Plain Sight and Sheen has starred opposite Charlie Sheen in FX's Anger Management. Janney most recently contended for a best supporting actress in TV award for her role in CBS' Mom at this year's Golden Globes.
