All diehard Saturday Night Live fans should plan to get comfortable on a couch for 19 straight days — unless they're living in a van down by the river, of course.
VH1 Classic is celebrating the long-running NBC sketch show's 40th anniversary with a marathon spanning Wednesday, Jan. 28, through Sunday, Feb. 15. It will comprise 433 hours, making it the longest marathon ever for a single TV series and even more expansive than last year's 12-day The Simpsons marathon on FXX.

The SNL Rewind: 2015 - 1975 Mega-Marathon begins with season 39's final episode, which first aired last year and features host Andy Samberg and musical guest St. Vincent. The final marathon episode will be the show's very first one, hosted by George Carlin on Oct. 11, 1975.
When the Carlin episode finishes airing at 8 p.m. on Feb. 15, NBC will air a three-hour primetime special honoring the anniversary.

VH1 Classic is planning several themed blocks of episodes throughout the course of the event. Ten episodes paying tribute to Chris Farley air Feb. 7 from 12 - 10 p.m., 13 episodes featuring Wayne's World sketches air Feb. 8 from 1 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. and six episodes with Justin Timberlake air Jan. 31 from 4 - 9 p.m.
SNL, the winner of 40 Emmy Awards, has been airing classic reruns each Saturday on NBC leading in to the show's new episodes. Kevin Hart hosts a new season-40 episode Jan. 17 on NBC, with music from Sia.
