Anne Hathaway’s Love Scene Prep: Shots! – ARTICLE

Anne Hathaway took "Song One" co-star Johnny Flynn under her wing to show him the ropes of filming a love scene.

"It's a closed set, so there's not all these production people around and…I've done a few of these now," she said of her seasoned experience. "It was Johnny's first one, so I was more concerned about, you know, about making sure he was comfortable, so being the pro that I am I brought the Jameson and we each did a whiskey shot before we did it and it didn't take that long and then it was good."

When the brother of Anne's character Franny falls into a coma after a horrific accident, she learns about her sibling by reading his journal. This leads her to his favorite musician James Forester – played by Johnny – and love blossoms between the two.

"I think music is miraculous. I do believe that music is healing and this is a story about a young woman who is living in her life frozen and somehow through this tragedy that she's experiencing – her younger brother goes into a coma – she winds up thawing and opening and music and love play a small part in that and so that's what it is for me," she told Access Hollywood at the film's press junket on Tuesday.

Anne has also found love in her real life. She wed husband Adam Shulman in September 2012 and "Song One" marks the first project the couple produced together.

"It went really good," Anne was happy to report. "I think everybody didn't expect it to go well because everyone keeps asking like walking on eggshells, but we had a great time. He's really, I mean, I married him for a reason. He's wonderful and it's nice to know that that translated into his job as well."

"Song One" opens in theaters on January 23.
