Spy stars Melissa McCarthy as an unlikely secret agent. The first trailer has debuted. Watch the video below.
According to the official studio synopsis, “Susan Cooper is an unassuming, deskbound CIA analyst, and the unsung hero behind the Agency’s most dangerous missions. But when her partner falls off the grid and another top agent is compromised, she volunteers to go deep undercover to infiltrate the world of a deadly arms dealer, and prevent a global disaster.”
McCarthy plays Cooper, with her espionage colleagues portrayed by Jude Law, Jason Statham and Allison Janney. The cast also includes Rose Byrne and Bobby Cannavale. Bridesmaids and The Heat director Paul Feig helms the project.
After starring in Tammy and St. Vincent in 2014, McCarthy has a busy 2015 lined up, as she continues to appear on “Mike & Molly” while contributing to the animated B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations and the upcoming comedy Michelle Darnell.
