Justin Bieber’s Calvin Klein ads have gotten a lot of people hot and bothered, but some people are just plain bothered. The company is being called out on social media for seemingly photoshopping some of the photos. Check out the pictures below, and tell us what you think.
Several alleged alterations have been pointed out by Beliebers and critics alike. Among them, Bieber’s body appears rather hair-free in the video footage from the shoot, whereas the printed ads show his stomach with a lot more hair heading down there. Similarly, while the clip showcases Bieber’s fit torso, it is significantly more cut in the finished pictures, where he has a fully-defined six pack of abs. (See photo right and below.) “Justin Bieber’s Calvin Klein ads would be super cool had they not over photoshopped his ‘abs,'” tweeted one fan. Another even wrote, “The Calvin Klein underwear ads featuring Justin Bieber kind of look like his head was photoshopped onto the body.”
But that’s not the, um, biggest thing sparking discussion. Some have pointed out that Bieber’s bulge looks rather large, at least compared to when he stripped on stage at Fashion Rocks last September. Interestingly, he was also wearing Calvin Klein underwear then, too. One person even tweeted a side-by-side comparison of then and now, writing, “Who is he trying to fool?” Another similarly tweeted, “Hmm isn’t it suspicious how justin bieber went from having no bulge to the worlds most roundly shaped bulging bulge??”
Of course, this wouldn’t be the first time a star has been digitally altered for an ad campaign, and a number of magazines have been slammed over the years for photoshopping female celebrities on their covers. One person even suggested Bieber’s enhancements are not all that different from when models and other famous women wear push-up bras. Check out the pictures below, and tell us what you think.
