Demi Lovato delivered a surprise Christmas gift on Wednesday, releasing the music video for “Nightingale.” Watch below!

“Thank you all so much for the most amazing year yet! My Lovatics are truly the best. #Nightingale,” the singer tweeted with a link to the clip on the morning of Christmas Eve. The track originally debuted last year on Lovato’s Demi album, which also features the singles “Heart Attack,” “Made In The U.S.A.,” “Neon Lights,” and “Really Don’t Care.”

The “Nightingale” video, shot entirely in black and white, features behind-the-scenes footage of Lovato in concert, hanging out with fans, and traveling the world. The pop star sings, “Can you be my nightingale?/Sing to me/I know you’re there/You could be my sanity/Bring me peace/Sing me to sleep/Say you’ll be my nightingale.”

It all culminates with Lovato being reunited with boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama. The longtime couple shares a passionate kiss, and Lovatics have surmised that the star is using the video to show “everything meaningful to her.” “Wilmer, us, performing, music. It just sums up her year,” tweeted one fan. Another agreed, writing on Twitter, “It’s just so personal, and I love her for sharing it with us.”

2014 was a huge year for Lovato, who spent the winter and spring on her “Neon Lights Tour,” and then this fall she embarked on the “Demi Lovato World Tour.” She collaborated with Nick Jonas, The Vamps, and Olly Murs, appeared on “Glee,” and served as the grand marshal at the L.A. Pride Parade. And, after years of keeping her relationship with Valderrama pretty hidden, Lovato became more comfortable showing her love to the world. Watch the video below, and tell us if you think Lovato is saying Valderrama and Lovatics are her own “nightingales.”
