The Voice Wildcard Winner Results

The first-ever “Voice” wildcard winner was revealed on Wednesday’s “Today Show.” As Gossip Cop reported, viewers were able to cast their votes for the eliminated contestant they wanted to see in the finale after Tuesday’s specials performances, but had to wait nearly 12 anxious hours to get the results. Check out the announcement video below!

As revealed last night, Chris Jamison (Team Adam), Matt McAndrew (Team Adam), and Craig Wayne Boyd (Team Blake) were chosen as the Top 3 based on viewers’ votes following Monday’s show. But, for the first time since season 2, it was announced the music competition would have four finalists this year, and the fourth slot would be decided by a special, unprecedented wildcard round featuring the nine previously eliminated contestants.

That meant the just-eliminated Damien (Team Adam) and Taylor John Williams (Team Gwen) were getting a last-second chance to still join the finale, as were Top 12 contestants DaNica Shirey (Team Pharrell), Sugar Joans (Team Pharrell), Luke Wade (Team Pharrell), Ryan Sill (Team Gwen), Anita Antointette (Team Gwen), Jessie Pitts (Team Blake) and Reagan James (Team Blake). It was a huge opportunity for those cut in weeks past, who may have missed crucial rounds of the competition but would now get to go straight to next week’s finale if they won redemption.

On Wednesday’s “Today Show,” after Carson Daly interviewed the Top 3, it was finally revealed the wildcard winner was… Damien! It was a lucky, but well-earned break for the Top 5 finalist, who though he missed the Top 3 cut, was now added back into the competition to make a Final 4. And it was amazing news for Adam Levine, who will now have all three of his artists competing in the finale, the first time in show history that a final round will feature a coach with their entire team in tact. Check out the video below to see the announcement, and tell us if you’re happy with the results!
