A 2.5 meter shark has been caught on film swimming in Lake Macquarie, just north of Sydney, on the state's Central Coast.

Fisherman Clinton Bambach, who captured the video, saw the shark from a distance.

Once the shark came closer to his boat he realised it was a Great White.
