Khloe Kardashian and Scott Disick are under fire for seemingly making light of the KKK and the organization’s horrific attitudes and crimes (photo below).
On Tuesday, Kardashian posted a meme featuring herself and sisters Kourtney and Kim. On the photo, the text read, “The Only KKK To Ever Let Black Men In.” Kardashian captioned the Instagram post, “True.” The reality star appeared to be making a joke about being a trio of K-named people who have had relationships with black men, unlike the actual KKK, which has an extremely racist agenda.
Kardashian was almost immediately barraged with comments criticizing the post for being in poor taste, and ultimately deleted the Instagram post, but not the tweet that links to it. And Kourtney’s longtime boyfriend Disick was far from offended. He was actually amused, and re-posted the meme on his own Instagram page, with the caption, “And a Jew.” Like Kardashian, Disick was seemingly mocking the KKK’s offensive policies with his own connection to the Kardashians.
Disick’s post received blowback, too. One commenter wrote, “Like wtf? I understand the joke but it’s not funny! It’s actually very rude and disgusting. I don’t think most of you that think this is funny know about the KKK it’s a truly horrifying story and they are horrible people. I can promise you that most African people are gonna find this offensive and I do. The KKK is not something that should be joked about period. I don’t find this joke appealing and this shows what kind of racist people your are its honestly disgusting and pathetic shame on you.” There were plenty of other commenters who were equally offended.
