NeNe Leakes talked about her friendship with Teresa Giudice on Sunday’s “Watch What Happens Live,” telling host Andy Cohen that she would visit the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star in prison. “Teresa and I have had lots of conversations,” Leakes explained. “We’ve talked a lot. She called me for some help with some other things and I helped her out.”
While Leakes didn’t elaborate on what she and Giudice discussed, she said, “I feel bad for her as well. I really do. I feel when Teresa calls me, I feel like she knows she’s going to get real true advice.” Leakes noted that she did not call Giudice on the day she was sentenced. “I said to her when I spoke to her, ‘I know so many people are texting and calling you, and I don’t want to be that person. I want to talk to you very real,’” she recalled. “And so we did. We had a very real conversation and she’s called me several times. I have done everything I could do for her.” Leakes added, “I would love to hang out and have a drink with her before she goes. I would even visit her. I really would.”
The reality TV star then put Cohen on the spot, asking, “Would you visit her?” The host responded, “Um, yeah. Sure I would.” She is going to be in Connecticut. Sure I would.” Giudice was sentenced to 15 months in prison for her role in an elaborate fraud scheme that led to husband Joe Giudice‘s own 41-month sentence. She’s set to serve her time at the Danbury Federal Correctional Institution in Connecticut. What do you think of Leakes’ comments?
