Lindsay Lohan is NOT currently planning a move back to New York, despite a rumor. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust the story, which began in the New York Post, an outlet with a very shaky track record of reporting on the actress, including a bogus report about her allegedly dating Liam Neeson’s teenage son.
The new Post story announces, “Watch out, New York — it looks like Lindsay Lohan, who’s currently performing on London’s West End, is heading back to town.” A “source” for the outlet reports that Lohan’s mother Dina and her sister Ali are currently apartment hunting with a broker and looked at a $2.2 million residence at the W Downtown in the Financial District.
Lohan is currently starring in the play “Speed-the-Plow” in London, but the Post thinks she’s heading back to the Big Apple when it wraps at the end of this month. “The [Financial District] apartment would be for both Lindsay and her sis,” says the paper’s source.
But Gossip Cop has learned that Lohan is not moving back to New York anytime soon. A source close to the situation tells Gossip Cop exclusively that while the actress may one day make a permanent return to her home town, she’s not in the midst of hunting for apartments and has no plans to do so.
