Fox executives got their wish: The World Series is heading to Game 7.
Game 6 between the San Francisco Giants and the Kansas City Royals proved to be a 10-0 rout by the Royals, and in turn, helped push Fox to its best ratings for the best-of-seven series with a preliminary 11.9 million viewers and a 3.1 rating among adults 18-to-49. According to early numbers, Fox will likely win the evening in 18-to-49.
CBS' NCIS (17.2 million, 2.5) improved 4 percent, while NCIS: New Orleans (15.7 million, 2.3) — recently earning a full-season order — dropped 4 percent. Person of Interest (9.7 million, 1.6) increased 7 percent, up from last week's low. CBS was first among viewers with a 14.2 million average and second in 18-to-49 with a 2.1.
NBC's entire lineup saw declines in primetime. The Voice posted 10.8 million and a 2.8, the latter measure down 15 percent. Meanwhile, rookie comedy Marry Me (5.6 million, 1.6) continued to drop with a 13 percent loss, and About a Boy (4.4 million, 1.2) saw a 14 percent slip. Chicago Fire (7.2 million, 1.7) dropped as well at 10 p.m.
ABC's The Great Halloween Fright Fight (3.8 million, 1.1) outrated last week's showings of Selfie and the recently canceled Manhattan Love Story in the 8 p.m. hour, surely not a good sign. Sophomore drama Marvel's Agents of SHIELD (4.5 million, 1.7), however, saw a 6 percent uptick, though Forever (5 million, 1.1) didn't see an improvement, hitting a series low.
Over on The CW, The Flash (3.4 million, 1.3) is starting to settle into its 8 p.m. Tuesday slot, dropping 13 percent, though beating ABC in the time period. Supernatural (2 million, 0.8) slipped 11 percent.
