With Halloween approaching, Syfy has picked up two of its spooky unscripted series.
Ghost Hunters and Paranormal Witness will return for their 10th and fourth seasons, respectively, in 2015. The news comes on the heels of the network's renewal of freshman zombie drama Z Nation, along with other scripted series Dominion, Defiance and Helix.

"We couldn’t be more excited about entering a brand-new decade of paranormal investigations with Jason Hawes, a refreshed TAPS [The Atlantic Paranormal Society] team and Ghost Hunters," said Heather Olander, the network's senior vp alternative series development and production.
Ghost Hunters last season averaged 1.7 million total viewers, and the 200th reunion episode that aired Oct. 22 was ranked the No. 1 unscripted show of the night with 1.3 million total viewers. As a part of Syfy's annual 31 Days of Halloween programming, the season finale of Ghost Hunters will feature a special Halloween investigation into the reported hauntings at the Cincinnati Music Hall in Ohio.

Paranormal Witness was the network's No. 3 most watched unscripted series this past year, delivering 1.47 million viewers. Olander adds: "We also eagerly anticipate the return of a revitalized and scarier than ever Paranormal Witness: True Terror, which features shocking firsthand accounts of truly frightening and skin-crawling supernatural experiences — including the real-life story of the hit movie The Conjuring."
Ghost Hunters is produced for Syfy by Craig Piligian's Pilgrim Studios; Piligian, Mike Nichols, Thomas Thayer and Alan David serve as executive producers. Paranormal Witness: True Terror is produced by Raw TV, with executive producers Mark Lewis and Bart Layton and series producer Rebecca North.
