Megan Fox Misses Beijing Premiere With Skin Allergy, Says Pollution Not To Blame

Megan Fox missed the Beijing premiere of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with a skin allergy, sparking speculation that the city’s pollution triggered the reaction. Fox’s camp denies that her ailment was caused by the Chinese capital’s dirty air.

On Sunday morning, the actress attended a press conference for the movie at the Shangri-La hotel, where she told reporters that she’d been unable to see Beijing’s beauty when she opened her windows. When Fox failed to attend the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles premiere later in the day, although a spokesperson for the star says, “She had an allergic reaction but not because of the pollution.”

The notoriously polluted city had one of its worst Air Quality Index days of the year on Saturday, when Fox arrived, with a pollutant concentration approximately 20 times higher than the recommended level for outdoor exposure.

Fox has not said how she developed the skin allergy. She is scheduled to visit the Great Wall of China on Monday. Gossip Cop will have updates on whether her skin ailment leads to more cancellations.
