Jennifer Lopez is negotiating a deal to headline a Las Vegas show, Gossip Cop has learned.
Right now there’s talk of her taking up residency at either Caesars Palace or at Planet Hollywood. Lopez took in Shania Twain’s show at Caesars Palace on Friday, leading to speculation that she’ll take over that spot after Twain’s run is over, but Gossip Cop is hearing there’s a stronger chance J. Lo will park her famous booty at Planet Hollywood when Britney Spears ends her run in 2015.
Gossip Cop reached out to a rep for Lopez, but has yet to hear back.
According to one report, Lopez has been offered a deal to perform 72 shows. The current contract on the table is for Lopez to do three shows a week for 24 weeks over the course of one to two years.
So, how much will Lopez get for her Vegas show? One estimate is $350,000 per show, which comes out to $25.2 million for the 72 shows. That’s not too shabby; however, it’s still not Celine Dion money. Dion’s contract had her making more than $33 million a year for 70 shows.
Lopez’s music career has been on fire the past year with such hits as “I Luh Ya PaPi,” “First Love,” and “Booty.”
