Up a shade from last week's preliminary numbers, CBS' coverage of Thursday Night Football topped the night in both adults 18-49 and total viewers. The deal with NFL Network sees the weekly games going back to the cable network exclusively after next Thursday.
The block of Shonda Rhimes-produced dramas still topped the non-sports competition for ABC. Steady episodes of Grey's Anatomy and Scandal, which earned a respective 2.4 and 2.9 rating among adults 18-49, were followed by a slightly softer How to Get Away With Murder. The freshman shed four-tenths of a point from last week's live-plus-same day showing to a 2.7 rating in the key demo. That comes after it topped Scandal in both viewers and adults under 50 last week.
NBC's entire Thursday lineup held steady with last week — though that did mean an incremental boost for The Biggest Loser (1.3 adults). Bad Judge (1.2 adults), A to Z (1.0 adults) and Parenthood (1.3 adults) rounded out the night.
Bones (1.6 adults) and Gracepoint (0.8 adults) held last week's scores, with the latter still losing half of its lead-in. Fox projections give the freshman a 50 percent boost after three days of DVR.
Both The Vampire Diaries and Reign were also up a shade on the CW. Each rose one-tenth of a point in the key demo for a respective 0.9 and 0.5 rating.
