Sting recorded an amazing personal outgoing voicemail message, set to the tune of The Police hit “Message In A Bottle,” for one lucky audience member on Thursday’s “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
But first, Fallon had Sting warm up his vocal chords by putting his own personal spin on popular cellphone ringtones. The talk show host explained to Sting, “Everyone knows the classic cellphone ringtones, but I thought it would be cool to have you sing your version of them and call them ‘Stingtones.’” The former Police frontman graciously obliged, singing and scatting popular ringtones.
Fallon then randomly picked one audience member’s number from a bucket and invited him on to the stage to have Sting record a outgoing message of his cell phone to the tune of “Message In A Bottle.”
