A rescue centre is now trying to home the polydactyl kittens.
The Cats Protection Birmingham Adoption Centre rescued the eight kittens, along with their mother, in July 2014.

On further inspection, though, they discovered that almost all the kittens had extra toes.

Cats with extra digits are called "polydactyl". Normally cats have five toes on their front paws and four on their hind paws. However, most of the rescued kittens had six or seven toes per paw.

In fact, the entire litter of eight cats has 180 claws between them.
