Robert Plant joined Jimmy Fallon on Friday’s “Tonight Show,” where the duo used an iPad app to sing “Duke of Earl” as a doo-wop group.
After the legendary Led Zeppelin frontman made an amusing off-color joke about the microphone, the guys looped their voices to create a pretty cool effect, singing a harmonized version of the classic song with some help from The Roots.
Plant really seemed to enjoy using the technology, and his amazing voice did the rest.
It was a nice antidote to the “violence” that marred Friday’s show when Fallon and Nathan Lane brawled.
