Jimmy Kimmel Fools Fashionistas With NYFW “Lie Witness News”: Video

The hottest trend sweeping the runways this fall? Lying! Jimmy Kimmel Live hit Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week for the latest segment of "Lie Witness News."

"We sent a crew to Lincoln Center where some of the runway shows were held and we asked people coming in and out about designers, trends and events that do not exist," Kimmel told his audience on Thursday, Sept. 11. "And even though all of the designer names you're about to hear were made up by us, that did not stop these fashion aficionados from giving their opinions of them."

A man wearing thick-rimmed glasses and a tribal-printed blazer was asked about one of "the lesser-known designers," Chandler Bing, who, of course, was Matthew Perry's character on the beloved sitcom Friends

"Chandler Bing I have heard of," he responded without hesitation. "I do follow…and it's all about social media as well, so I really follow the brand as well."

Another attendee, wearing a bandanna and golden headpiece, confirmed he checked out the fashion show by another up and comer, Teddy Ruxpin (the popular talking teddy bear toy from the '80s).

The unsuspecting fashionistas also offered their take on events that didn't happen, like Heidi Klum's face-plant at the Alexander Wang show ("I felt a little bad for her!").
