Jessa Duggar of “19 Kids & Counting” got engaged to her boyfriend Ben Seewald on Thursday night after 11 months of courtship.
“We are so blessed to be engaged!” the happy couple said in a statement. “God has written an amazing story through our courtship, and another chapter has just begun! We are thrilled to see what the future holds — especially the wedding bells!”
The newly engaged 21-year-old is the third daughter (and fifth overall child) of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s enormous brood.
Like her recently married sister Jill — who wed Derick Dillardon June 21 — Jessa decided to save holding hands with Seewald until their engagement and their first kiss will be on their wedding day.
The 21-year-old bride-to-be shared a photo herself looking lovingly at Seewald just hours before he proposed (see photo below).
The bride-to-be is so excited, she’s already changed her last name to “Seewald” on her social media accounts.
