Lena Dunham and other stars are mocking Shia LaBeouf in the wake of his arrest at a performance of Cabaret in New York on Thursday.

As Gossip Cop reported, the controversy-prone actor was handcuffed and escorted from the theater and charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing after being “disruptive” during the first half of the Broadway show.

Following the incident, Dunham had some fun at LaBeouf’s expense on Twitter.

“I feel you Shia: In 1993 I was carried out of Les Mis screaming because I couldn’t handle the intimations of death,” she joked.

Dunham then passed along the thoughts of new “Girls” cast member Gillian Jacobs, quoting her as saying, “You know you’re a f*ckin’ G when you’re arrested during Cabaret.”

“Seriously feel awful for the performers and am sorry to contribute to celebrity takedown culture but this is the best current event we have!” Dunham then tweeted.

Billy Eichner also got in on the fun.

He tweeted, “Shia LaBeouf – do what you want to Alan Cumming but if you lay even one finger on the Newsies I will kill you!!!!!”

Eichner continued, “Shia LaBeouf was arrested at the Broadway production of Cabaret so I finally feel comfortable telling you I was waterboarded at Kinky Boots.”

“I guarantee you there were at least 3 middle aged women at tonight’s performance of Cabaret talking more during the show than Shia,” joked the comedian.

Former “Saturday Night Live” star Ana Gasteyer jabbed, “Maybe Cabaret Act 2 was just gonna be too dark for Shia and he was trying to cover. I mean it does get real heavy.”

LaBeouf himself has yet to make a statement.

Gossip Cop will have updates.
