Sarah Jessica Parker may be headed back to television.
The Sex and the City alum is attached to star as one of the two leads in the limited-series adaptation of Busted: A Tale of Corruption and Betrayal in the City of Brotherly Love, a crime thriller by co-written by Wendy Ruderman and Barbara Laker.

Sidney Kimmel Entertainment optioned the rights to the non-fiction book and will produce the drama project along with Anonymous Content, a producer behind HBO's True Detective. Casting is currently underway for the other lead role.
Busted is based on investigative reporters Ruderman and Laker's HarperCollins book published March 11. It chronicles their successful efforts to uncover one of the biggest corruption scandals in Philadelphia's history. The 2009 10-month series of articles published in the Philadelphia Daily News titled "Tainted Justice" earned them a Pulitzer Prize.
David Frankel (The Devil Wears Prada, Hope Springs), who helmed several episodes of Sex and the City, is attached to direct and serve as executive producer. Don Roos (Web Therapy) will pen the pilot. Both Frankel and Roos worked together on 2008's Marley & Me, with Frankel directing and Roos writing.

Sarah Jessica’s coming on board, along with David Frankel and Don Roos is simply a perfect combination that we couldn’t be happier about," said Jim Tauber, president, and Carla Hacken, president of production at Sidney Kimmel Entertainment.
Hacken will also serve as executive producer. She secured book rights from WME as an independent producer in March and brought the project to Sidney Kimmel Entertainment when she joined the company. She and Frankel worked together on Devil Wears Prada.
