Scout Willis Defends Topless Protest: I “Love My Breasts So Much”

Scout Willis has opened up on about her decision to protest Instagram’s strict no-nudity policy with a completely topless stroll in New York earlier this week.

The daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore told the Voice that she got “incensed” after a “picture of a picture of breasts” was deleted by Instagram from her account.

Willis said she was frustrated because she had a breast reduction several years ago, and has only recently begun to feel comfortable with her body.

“It was one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had. It completely changed my relationship to my body,” explained Willis. “I felt so empowered and love my breasts so much. I don’t feel like wearing a bra.”

Willis said she was out with her boyfriend on the Lower East Side when she decided to pull of her shirt and bare her breasts, while her partner captured the protest on film.

Toplessness has been legal in New York for the past 22 years, and according to Willis, “People were really blasé about it.”

“Some people either aren’t aware enough of the facts to know what it is I’m actually fighting for and talking about, and some people really just don’t want to take me seriously, and would rather write me off as someone who’s just attention-seeking,” acknowledged Willis.

What do you think of Willis’ explanation for her protest?
